Molly & Jeff ~ married

Molly is our neighbor Lonny’s little sister and it is always more fun to have repeat business…and Molly & Jeff’s wedding was no exception The day was SUPER hot, but they didn’t let that stop them from having a good time.

Meet Molly – she is super cute & photogenic…

…and Jeff is super smiley & fun-loving.

Even though there is a significant age difference between them, you can tell these two were made for each other. They are so adorable together, and I know there is never a dull moment when Jeff is around.

They didn’t see each other before the ceremony, so we were a little rushed to get these in before the limo driver was off-duty, but we managed to grab a few in some sweet light

Molly and her mom are really close, and after all of the traditional dances were over, she surprised her mom with a mother/daughter dance.

So sweet – wish I would have done that at my wedding

Adrienne & Nick ~ married

This was a day filled with lots of joy. I’ve known Adrienne & Nick since high school, however I was the one in high school and I think they were in kindergarten or something at the time No seriously, though, they were in elementary school at least I think. Let’s just say they make me feel old now It is so fun seeing them all grown up and an absolute pleasure to shoot their wedding.

Adrienne is absolutely gorgeous! One of the easiest brides I’ve ever shot for sure!

Guys have it so easy on their wedding day!

Their ceremony was extra special and extra emotional. Adrienne’s mom passed away this past January after she lost her battle with cancer and they played a slideshow of her before the ceremony. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the church! It just so happened that Adrienne & Nick were married on what would have been her parent’s 28th wedding anniversary. This moment between her & her dad just gets to me!

After the ceremony, we were off to the beautiful Glenwood Gardens for bridal portraits with just the two of them. It was perfect! Beautiful couple, beautiful light – we couldn’t ask for more

Sarah & Matt ~ married

We had the pleasure of traveling to Nashville to shoot Sarah & Matt’s wedding a few weeks ago. My mom and Sarah’s mom have been best friends for

as long as I can remember and I actually went to kindergarten withSarah’s older brother. Our families grew up together when we were younger,

but then Sarah’s dad’s job took them to a couple different cities over the years.Over the last couple of years, Sarah’s parents & other siblings all moved

back to Cincy, but Sarah went to college & fell in love in Nashville, so that is where she is staying for right now

So jealous! Donny and I could definitely live in Nashville if we could ever move away from our families (which we can’t!)

Sarah has definitely grown up to be SO beautiful!

I didn’t meet Matt until about 2 hours before the ceremony, but I liked him right away! And he is just about as photogenic as Sarah

They had a very small, intimate ceremony & reception…but it totally fit their laid back personalities This church was so adorable!

They didn’t see each other before the ceremony, so we only had a few minutes at the hotel where the reception was to get a few pics of the newlyweds.

Good thing they’re cute because it didn’t take long to get some good shots

And they’re off to Disneyland!

Caitlin & Steve ~ married

Caitlin & Steve’s wedding was a great way to kick off our season this year! Donny and I went to high school with these two, so the whole wedding was practically like a high school reunion for us. It was so much fun seeing everyone and the fact that we worked with some amazing vendors was icing on the cake

I love the expression on Caitlin’s face here as she sees Steve for the first time all day! Their ceremony was very personal & very special. They wrote their own vows and I’m pretty sure there was not a dry eye in the whole place – myself included!

The flower girls were beyond precious!

It was cold & gross this day, but Caitlin & Steve braved the goose-poop covered golf course for some outdoor portraits & video and I am SO glad they did!

Their new family!

Caitlin & Steve didn’t actually date in high school…Steve is a few years older than Caitlin so they didn’t even know each other that well back then. Thank goodness God brought them together through some mutual friends all these years later because it is so obvious that they are meant for each other

Josh and I might have had a little too much fun setting these up I couldn’t decide which one I liked better so I posted both!

Mandy & Brad ~ married

I will be the first to admit that I was a TERRIBLE blogger last year! I have kind of a love/hate relationship with my blog. I love the community with friends and other photographers it brings, I love how it adds a little extra push to get my images just right, I love how happy my clients are when they see their images online and are able to share them with their family & friends…but I hate how time consuming it is, I hate the pressure I feel to get every session blogged, and not only that, but to get it blogged within a week of the session. So my answer was always to not worry about blogging and get my images edited to my clients as fast as I possibly could. If a blog post managed to get done in the process – then it was a bonus. Well, to be honest I still feel that way, however I have good intentions of making blogging a part of my post-production workflow in 2011 and hopefully that will help me stay on top of it. Wish me luck!

Mandy & Brad ‘s wedding at the Weidemann Hill Mansion last Fall was just gorgeous! It was very small & intimate and not your typical reception – but it was just what Mandy & Brad wanted and it suited them perfectly.

Brad is not comfortable in front of the camera at all, but I managed to get a smile out of him while he was waiting for his bride

Mandy wanted some “urban” shots, so we explored a little and found this spot basically right around the corner.

We really enjoyed this wedding – it was a nice change of pace and not so go-go-go like most weddings are for us. Thanks for having us and we wish you guys all the best!

Valerie & David ~ married

Valerie & David actually live in Charlotte, NC, but Valerie grew up here on the West Side of Cincinnati and wanted to get married at her childhood church. Due to the distance, I didn’t get to meet them until a few weeks before their wedding while they were in town finalizing all of their plans. Corbin & I went to meet them and I knew right away that they were going to be a blast to photograph. They are so easy going & so happy…as we sat there and talked, I felt like I had known them for years!

Valerie is so beautiful!

Look at how big her smile is! (They did not see each other before-hand, so I’m sure she was overflowing with so many emotions)

They had an early ceremony and allowed for plenty of of time before the reception for photos, which makes me very happy! (Plus I know they just wanted a good excuse to enjoy their Bengals bus as much as possible:) and really who could blame them?)

To say that the bridal party was a little rowdy would be an understatement They definitely know how to have a good time!

Thank you guys for being so welcoming…I had a great time and was honored to capture your special day!

Perri & Neil ~ Married

Perri & Neil have a love story like no other! I remember the first time I met them back in August ’09 I could just tell there was something special about their love. As we were sitting in Panera they were seriously glowing as they told me their story. I left our meeting feeling so uplifted and excited to be a part of their wedding. It would take quite a long time to write out their whole story, but the short and sweet version is that they met online, they fell fast and hard for each other, and now Neil is moving his whole life here (he is originally from the UK) to be with Perri and take care of Perri’s daughter Paige. God definitely has His hand in their relationship and there is no denying that Perri & Neil are absolutely perfect for each other.

Meet sweet Paige

This part of the ceremony was very emotional. Paige was wheeled up and there was an entire part of the ceremony dedicated to her & the beginning of their new family. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the chapel!

Neil’s father is deceased and his mother could not make the flight over, but Perri & Neil wanted to honor them during the ceremony, so they put a picture of them on the pew. I thought that was pretty creative

I’m not even a flower girl, but I was blown away by these! I just love the colors…plus I’m a sucker for anything purple.

Their reception was was more like a fancy dinner/cocktail party complete with a 4 course traditional “English” meal. The French House was the perfect location and the grounds were beautiful to say the least!

Donny and I have several great memories from this day, but there are two in particular to stand out to me. The first was when Perri spoke before the official toasts and took the time to thank everyone who played a part in making the whole day come together. We are very fortunate to be treated like guests (rather than vendors) at most of the weddings we shoot, but this was the first time we were officially recognized and thanked in front of all of the guests and that really meant a lot to us. The second was the conversation we had with Perri’s dad right before we left. He was just gushing over Perri & Paige and life Perri has made for herself and her daughter over the last 13 years. He is so proud of all the obstacles she has overcome to get to where she is today and it was really heart warming to hear his stories and see how much he loves his daughter and granddaughter.

Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of your special day and we look forward hearing all about your second wedding in Neil’s country as well as attending his official “homecoming” party when the move is final.

Patrick & Mallory ~ Married

I want her lashes!! P.S. – Mallory you’re the hottest chic in the Army BY FAR!

While Mallory was getting her makeup down, her girls were having way too much fun…Hometown pride!

The girls got ready at Patrick’s sister’s house and a golf course is literally in her backyard, so we took full advantage. As you can tell, these girls don’t take themselves too seriously

The guys weren’t serious either…this was just a front.

They decided to go “old school” and did not see each other before the wedding. That’s what we did also and I remember how anxious/nervous/excited I was as I walked down the aisle, so I can totally relate to how she must have been feeling during her walk down this long aisle.

Married!Isn’t Mallory’s dress gorgeous?!? So unique and just perfect for her.This is the first reception I’ve been to where a hookah was smoked…it was definitely a hit!Patrick & Mallory might be the most laid back couple we have ever worked with. Their wedding & reception went off without a hitch and from what I could tell, the nasty Cincinnati heat was about the only thing they had to complain about all day. They definitely know how to have a good time and it was such a treat seeing them get to party with all of their friends who traveled far & wide to be a part of their wedding day. (One of the bridesmaids is living is Australia!)
