Gallery Wraps

Posted on November 2, 2008

I thought I would post a few quick pictures of a gallery wrap that just came in to give you all a better idea of what they are. Many of you have been asking me exactly what they are, so here are some visuals:

Each image is printed directly on museum quality archival canvas with high quality archival inks. The canvas is then treated with a special coating that protects it from harmful UV rays and stretched around a wooden canvas frame. They come complete with mounting hardware so all you have to do it hang it on the wall. Gallery wraps are a gorgeous alternative to framed prints…and they make great gifts for the upcoming holidays.

Sneak Attack!

Posted on October 16, 2008

As much as I can’t wait to give each of the following sessions their featured post in the near future, I have no other choice but to resort to giving you sneak peaks for now. Blogging is probably my favorite part of the post-processing, however I have to make myself get everything else done first. Lately I have just not had enough time to catch up with my ever growing to-do list. Not that I’m complaining, but all the time usually reserved for editing has been taken up with shoots, meetings, and order fulfillment. I never imagined October would be this busy. To all of my clients who are waiting for their blog post, I promise it is coming and I thank you for your patience!! Now on to the pictures:

Leslie & Darrin’s Wedding…

Anne’s Boudoir Session…

Niki & Jason’s Wedding…

Erin & John’s Trash the Dress Session…

Valerie & Adam’s Engagement Session…

My 4’s

Posted on October 9, 2008

Thanks to Jess @ Studio3z who tagged me for this fun little survey…

4 things I did today…
1. in an effort to complete # 75 on my 101 list (set up a recycling system in my home), I signed up @ GreenDimes.com to stop junk mail from coming to my house
2. passed my tests to get re-certified in CPR/First Aid
3. let my hair air dry and embraced the curls
4. helped Donny map out all of the circuits in our house

4 things on my to do list…
1. finish planning out all of the final details of my best friend’s combined “bach” party in Chicago
2. buy a 5d
3. get prints, gallery wraps & albums finished for our new client meeting area
4. organize my closet

4 of my guiltiest pleasures…
1. cookies & cream ice cream…as a kid I used say this was my favorite food…as I’ve gotten older, I’ve expanded my horizons a bit…but I don’t think I’ll ever out grow cookies & cream
2. re-arranging & re-decorating our house…my friends laugh every time they come over because something is always different…Donny on the other hand doesn’t find this obsession quite so amusing since he has to help with all of the grunt work
3. slipper boots & space heaters…for someone that is ALWAYS cold, these are must-haves! I have heard that they make those fuzzy pj’s with the feet in them for adults…I think I’m adding these to my must-have list also
4. Texas…even if I didn’t have friends & family who live there, I would still consider Texas one of my favorite places to visit in the whole world

4 random facts about me…
1. I have never been trick-or-treating
2. I have an adopted little brother who looks more like my parents than either my biological brother or I do
3. I was salutatorian & homecoming queen my senior year of high school
4. I hate green beans! I seriously wish I didn’t because they are so easy to make…but I have yet to come across any recipes that I like

4 people I’m tagging…
1. Ryan @ thisisreverb…photographer turned pastor
2. Larry Reeves…one of my most recent blog commenters & [b] school friends
3. Cathy + David…super cool photogs I met @ FTS
4. Steve @ Glass Eye Video…one of the coolest videographers EVER!!

101 List Update

Posted on October 6, 2008

I thought it was time to give you all a little update on my 101 list. Within the last couple of months, I have actually completed several goals…

7. buy a polaroid or two before it’s too late

I was fortunate enough that I didn’t even have to buy one…a friend came across one that wasn’t being used and thought I might like to have it. He was right!

20. get another tattoo

For my birthday in July, Donny and I got complimenting tattoos that say “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine (Ani L’Dodi, v’Dodi Li )” in Hebrew from Song of Solomon 6:3. Mine says “I am my beloved’s” and Donny’s says “and my beloved is mine”. We are very happy with the way they turned out :)

28. shoot a “Trash the Dress” session

I bet you would like to know how she trashed her dress, huh? We just shot this Trash the Dress Session last Sunday and I cannot wait to blog the rest!!

57. go parasailing

Donny and I got to go parasailing at Mackinac Island in August and we had a blast! We had the most perfect day for it as you can see.

91. have blog readers from all over the world

All of the countries that are colored in light or dark green represent the percentage of blog readers from that country. Obviously I have way more readers in North America than anywhere else, but it is still so cool to know that someone in Lithuania has seen my blog!
