I promise a real photography post is coming soon :) In the meantime, though, I wanted to send you all over to my best friend Kim’s blog, Yellow Brick Home. She featured our house this week and I am so thrilled that she thinks it is stylish enough to be featured. Kim and I met in college and went through the same fine art photography program. We eventually became great friends and roommates up until I got married. She has since moved to Chicago and has been pursuing her love of interior design and showcasing all of her cool ideas & projects on Yellow Brick Home.

Even if you don’t own a super cute condo in the trendy outskirts of downtown Chicago like she does, you can still draw lots of inspiration from her ideas to implement in your own home. Go check it out and leave her some love!

Our little family of 3…

…is going to be a family of 4!!!

Yep that’s right, I’m pregnant :) I am just now starting the beginning of my 2nd trimester and everything is going great. We are super excited and can’t wait to meet our little one. None of my 2010 couples need to worry because the timing of everything worked out perfectly and this new adventure will not affect your weddings at all.

So now you all know why I am so behind when it comes to this blog. It has taken about all of my energy just to keep up with all of my shoots and editing on top of our already busy lives. Thank you for your patience and I’m hoping I get my energy back like everyone says I should now that I’m out of my 1st trimester :)

Cincinnati Wedding Photographer: Erin & Doug ~ married

This wedding was extra special for us because Donny grew up with Erin and their families have been friends for a long time. (Notice Jenny is in the bridal party:)) As kids, I’m sure Erin never thought that one day Donny would be shooting her wedding! Erin & Doug have been engaged for quite a while and decided to tie the knot back in July (yes I know I am behind!). I am pretty sure they were married on one of the hottest days of the year even though this Summer was so mild…but we were happy for the sunshine :) We had a blast shooting this wedding and at times, it didn’t even feel like we were working since so many of our family & friends were there. One perk of being a wedding photographer I guess :)

It literally took both Erin’s mom and her sister to get her into her dress…it was hilarious!

Her dress was beautiful…check out the detail!

They definitely don’t take themselves too seriously :)

I LOVE cupcake towers!!

This is Erin’s grandpa and they are super close…love this shot!

Erin literally did not stop dancing the entire night :) They definitely had a good party going right up until the reception ended!

I am finally starting to catch up a bit and start blogging again :) Sarah & John were married back in June and had an absolutely beautiful wedding at the Bell Event Centre.

These were Sarah’s HOT shoes along with the peacock feather detail she had for decoration at the reception.

This sums up Sarah…so cool, calm, and collected. Love it! By the way, her mom custom made her dress – isn’t is beautiful?

I love this shot of the guys Donny got right after they finished getting ready.

This is Sarah’s little brother and his superhero tattoos…I would have never guessed this kid would have so many tattoos! Guess you can’t judge a book by the cover, right?

More shoe hotness

Sarah & John are so cool & laid back and were so much fun to shoot during their engagement session & their wedding. They had an awesome bridal party that was up for anything and had an all-around great wedding. At the reception, Donny & I ate dinner with their officiant, Kathryn Siefert and had a blast talking to her. If there are any brides in need of an officiant, definitely look her up and give her a call :)
