Erin + John ~ Trash the Dress Part 1

I have been dying to blog about this Trash the Dress (TTD) session for so long now! This was a special session for me for a couple of reasons…First of all I have been dying to shoot a TTD session for a long time now and this opportunity fell into my lap out of nowhere. And to top off my excitement, we collaborated with Steve @ StudioZ Films which was SO much fun!! As soon as he posts the video, I’ll put a link up for you all to see his amazing work.

This whole thing unraveled one afternoon back in August when I opened an email from Erin. She came across my work because she was a friend of Felisha’s and was at her wedding that we shot back in June. It turns out that Erin went to the same high school as me (although I was graduated before I ever knew her) and knew Donny and several of my other friends that I still keep in touch with. Erin was reading my 101 Listand decided that she really wanted to trash her wedding dress. She said it has been sitting in her closet for 4 years and this kind of photo session would be more fitting to her and her husband John’s personalities. The rest is history!

Erin & John were both up for anything, which made our jobs so easy! We shot for several hours and I can’t seem to narrow my favorites down to less than 50…so I decided to split up the posts so I won’t totally overwhelm you.

Like I said before, we had so much fun shooting this TTD and it was great getting to know Erin & John. Erin and I have kept in touch since and I have a feeling we will be hanging out a lot more in the future.
