Leslie & Darrin ~ married
Posted on October 28, 2008
I have to start out by saying that Leslie is one of the sweetest people I have ever met! She and Darrin were living in Florida right up until the wedding, so I had never met Leslie until about a week before the big day. I could tell from all of our email correspondence that she was sweet, but when we sat in Starbucks chatting about the final details, I realized just how down to earth and truly wonderful Leslie is. It wasn’t 5 minutes before she was asking about Opie (which made my day because he is my pride and joy), so I got out my phone to show her recent pictures. We both sat there squealing over his cuteness like little school girls!
A few days after we met, Hurricane Ike swept through Cincinnati [ yes I know I am WAY behind on blogging ] and I was worried about how it was going to affect her wedding day. When I spoke to her on the phone, she didn’t seem the least bit worried about it. The reception venue already told her that they would scrounge up a generator if need be (which they did end up having to do). The wedding day arrived and we were blessed with beautiful weather to compliment the beautiful outdoor wedding Leslie had planned at Sharon Woods Heritage Village.
At one point, Leslie’s bridesmaids asked her how her feet were holding up in her high heels. She responded, “They are totally numb, but I don’t even care because I’m married!” Her happiness was so infectious and made for a day filled with so much love and joy.
This day was extra special for Donny and I because when we got home from shooting, our electricity was back on after a week of being off!
Leslie & Darrin ~ You both were a joy to work with and we wish you all the best. Enjoy your new home and new life together - finally, right? :):)

The mad housewife broke my toe!
Posted on October 17, 2008
So yesterday I had one of the blondest moments of my life! We have friends over every Thursday for a potluck dinner and to watch The Office. Well, I stopped at the grocery store on my way home to pick up a few things. On my way to the checkout lane, I was passing by the wine aisle. I don’t know about you, but I like to try different wines based on the cool labels. The label on this particular bottle of chardonnay totally caught my eye, so I went over and picked it up to get a closer look. I was thoroughly amused, so I decided I had to try this wine. As I went to put it in my cart, the bottle slipped out of my hands and landed smack on my toes! Talk about PAIN!! I cannot even describe the pain other than to say it silenced me - I couldn’t move, talk, scream - nothing! (Which was probably a good thing considering I was in public). A young employee came to my rescue and picked up the bottle (which didn’t even break). I made it home, and after a few hours, my toe was completely swollen and purple. So I’d like you all to meet “the culprit” that broke my toe:

You have to admit the bottle is pretty amusing, huh? Ah the stupidity of our lives sometimes! :)

Sneak Attack!
Posted on October 16, 2008
As much as I can’t wait to give each of the following sessions their featured post in the near future, I have no other choice but to resort to giving you sneak peaks for now. Blogging is probably my favorite part of the post-processing, however I have to make myself get everything else done first. Lately I have just not had enough time to catch up with my ever growing to-do list. Not that I’m complaining, but all the time usually reserved for editing has been taken up with shoots, meetings, and order fulfillment. I never imagined October would be this busy. To all of my clients who are waiting for their blog post, I promise it is coming and I thank you for your patience!! Now on to the pictures:

You are Pam. You are sweet and likable, but your shyness makes it hard for you to express yourself sometimes. Regardless, you are always there for your friends and will usually come out of your shell to help anyone. |
