Felisha was like most girls…dreaming of her wedding day for as long as she could remember. She and Mike got engaged back in 2006, so amidst finishing school & traveling to Chile, she had plenty of time to plan for her wedding day. I wish I would have remembered to snap a picture of her wedding notebook/scrapbook so you all could see a glimpse of all of the planning and detail that went into her wedding day. It was filled to the brim with magazine clippings and notes to help her remember every detail. One of the many pictures Felisha was sharing with me was of a wedding ceremony that took place under a giant Oak tree. She said that picture is what inspired her to choose the sunken gardens at Landmark Christian Church as her ceremony & reception location. She, too, was able to say her vows under a big, beautiful Oak tree.
I don’t think my pictures will even do justice to how gorgeous the setting was in person. After threats of rain all day, the evening turned out beautifully. Their ceremony was very intimate and personal as they read their vows to one another and everyone held back tears. Following the vows, Felisha sang “From This Moment On” to Mike and then they held hands as they enjoyed an interpretive dance performed by one their friends.
Felisha decided to divide her wedding coverage up to include a bridal portrait session before the wedding. I would recommend this to all brides! It was a great opportunity for Felisha to get great bridal portraits without feeling stressed or rushed to get everything in on her actual wedding day. She brought her sister Rachel along, and despite a very stubborn zipper, we had a great time getting Felisha all made up for her portraits. We all ended up pretty happy with the results!
Felisha ~ Even though you won’t read this for another couple of weeks [ because she is on her mystery honeymoon that Mike planned as a surprise for her ], I wanted to say thank you for allowing me to share in your BIG DAY. You have grown into a stunning young woman and I couldn’t be happier for you. Congratulations!
Here are some pictures from the bridal session:
